Had absolutely no expectations of what this book would be like. None whatsoever. Read it because (a) the author is a Liverpool FC fan (b) There was a buzz going on and beginning to build about this book that I wanted to be in too
No show without punch (me) but also felt a massive missing out on something good. FOMO
Even though I’d decided not to do many blog tours. Find them nerve wracking and I’m scared of missing my date. Finally accepted this and so glad I did.
However, read this one in record time . Reading it through the night and developing insomnia (again) or turning into a werewolf again (no laughing!) and other things that a good night sleep might be prescribed for.
Sleep! What the heck is that?
Read on and on until the end.
Well developed, believable characters with interesting but fascinating back stories of their own that can lead you down one path and take it up another. Great plot. Holds the interest of the this reader and others too, so I hear on the grapevine. Novel idea – literally!
Like the central characters, found them believable and wanted to read more.
A darned good interesting read.
I’m sure Chris will hopefully look back on this time and remember us fondly or brush past us in a queue at his many book signings. This author – real name Chris – is definitely on his way somewhere. I feels it. ;).
Wow! Check out this review from none other than Noelle Holton!
THIS HIGHLY ANTICIPATED DEBUT IS ALREADY GETTING RAVE REVIEWS:
“Wow! Chris McDonald has written a clever, chilling and absolutely addictive debut novelwith A Wash of Black! A pacy read that will keep you turning the pages. I already want the next book in the DI Erika Piper series…like yesterday!”
— Noelle Holten, author of Dead Inside
