A few days ago I announced that I wasn’t going to compile a list of my favourite books of the year because I just couldn’t choose and gave reasons. I’ve stopped being such a wimp and changed my mind. Authors need to eat, pay bills and make a living so that they can continue to write books for our reading pleasure.
Unless stated otherwise the reviews for the following books are in my blog.
I make no apologies for the length of this list. It’s been a difficult year and books kept me sane. I did warn everyone my list would be long 😀
With thanks to authors, publishers, book publicists, blog tour organisers Anne Cater @Random Things Tours and Emma Welton @Damppebbles, my fellow book bloggers (or fairy godmothers as one author called us 🧚♀️) for influencing and contributing to my reading enjoyment this year.

Fabulous to see Susie Kelly amongst this great list. Beautifully presented, will bookmark to check out quite a few of them, & enjoyed having a close look at the covers. Loved too the mixture of fab indies, like Terry Tyler, with us small publishers and the more famous books.

Thanks Stephanie. Susie is a firm favourite of mine. There are Indie authors high on my list of favourite authors. Their writing is superb. Terry Tyler is amongst them and chooses to be Indie which is really something. X

Thanks so much for featuring both Legacy and UK2 – I am honoured! I have the Lion Tamer on my Kindle (your review put it there, I believe!), and I can see why you were finding it hard to choose – you’ve had a good year! I daren’t look at some that interest me, on here…. though I know I will… and then will have to buy…!! I have a book by Susie Kelly on my Kindle too, and Val Poore is one of the best travel writers I’ve read.
I, too, love that you read self-pub and small indie pub, as well as the large indies like Bloodhound, and Big 5 publishers. Thank you for taking the chance on me when I first submitted a book to you – your review of The Devil You Know still warms my heart! xx

I’m happy that I’ve made you happy Terry. You are one of my favourite writers. Your Project Renova series is awesome.
There are Indie writers whose books I’ll always read as soon as they’re published and yours are in that category. Hope you have a great 2019 🥳😘💐
