I’ve thought long and hard about this and haven’t reached this decision lightly. I’m completely unable to compile a list of favourite books for this year.
It’s been a very challenging year, to put it mildly. The books I’ve read this year have kept me sane and kept me company through some tough times and every book featured on my blog has been one I’ve enjoyed. I don’t review books I don’t enjoy – ever. I don’t care what anyone else does – if I don’t enjoy it, I don’t review it – simple.
If I like a book I’ll go on and on about it and mention it more than once. Thankfully social media allows me to do this repeatedly without being deemed insane.
I just can’t choose favourites out of all of those books. I can’t do it. Not this year. There have been so many.
I’d like to thank all authors, publishers, publicists and last but not least blog tour organisers who have contributed so much to my reading choices this year. Also to my fellow bloggers who have also contributed to my reading choices this year and always share my posts. Thank you
Much appreciated. Always xxxx
Wishing you all the best for Christmas and New Year.

Totally understandable, Caryl, and I’m the same way. My blog is for books I love and recommend. I hope your 2019 is all that you want it to be and much less stressful overall! ♥️

Love your column Caryl. Often you have prompted me to run out & get a book that I might never have come across otherwise. Thank you for continuing to post in spite of personal difficulties.
Have a peaceful Christmas & I hope that 2019 will be a much better year for you.
Cheers,
Anne

I understand Caryl. I have read less than most bloggers which is for once a good thing 😉 and I’ll have a top 15 tomorrow but I can’t imagine what it must be like for bloggers who read more books :-).Merry Christmas and a happy New Year!
