I don’t usually do this because the very thought of it leaves me feeling exhausted but I always end up admiring everyone else’s Book Week posts and since this week felt a little special here goes.

The above was in the acknowledgement section of author Gill Paul’s latest book. The Lost Daughter. I was so absolutely chuffed to have a mention!

I loved the book and my review is Here

A book I’ve been longing to read for ages Red Red Snow by Will Dean arrived via book post. I really loved the first book in this series Dark Pines. I’m delighted to be on the Random Things Blog Tour for this book.

That reminds me. I still haven’t eaten the Swedish liquorice because I’ve been too busy showing it off to everyone!

I reviewed The Girl In His Eyes by Jennie Ensor and my Review is Here

My latest review is The Familiars by Stacey Halls. I reviewed it Here

Yesterday I had some wonderful book post.

This from publishers Faber & Faber

I absolutely loved having this package! Felt as if Christmas had come early! The book A Good Enough Mother by Bev Thomas, due to be published in 2019 sounds very much like my kind of thing. The only drawback is that they’ve asked for a selfie of me (or other recipients) in the bath reading the book presumably using the candle and drinking the wine. We have a wet room, no bath and I’m sure that no-one would want to see my old bones in the shower. Impossible to read in the shower. Candles go out, book gets wet and the wine might become a little watery!

This lovely book arrived the same day

The Man With No Face by Peter May another one due to be published in 2019. I love books by this author, so can’t wait to get stuck into this one.

NetGalley haul this week:

Books downloaded from Kindle Unlimited (on a trial)

Ted Darling is my favourite fictional detective so I’m desperate to catch up with this crime series now I’m a few books behind.

I broke my vow not to buy any more books until New Year by buying this bargain by Amer Anwar at 99p! I need help!

I’m currently reading this one by Gina Kirkham and having a good giggle.

That’s it folks. Now I’m off to quaff my lovely little bottle of wine courtesy of Faber & Faber
