A child going missing is every parent’s worst nightmare. John and Maisie’s beloved daughter Rebecca disappears, then later her parents have a series for disturbing photos of Rebecca sent to them along with notes that would appear to be from someone in John’s past who knew him very well. But who exactly is it? Who do they really trust and who do they really know?
With time running out and as the desperate search for Rebecca intensifies, the parents feel completely lost. Who is doing this to them and why?
A unique and tense thriller like no other I’ve ever read. Ronnie Turner can certainly write and write well. It’s as if the author is right inside the heads of the characters. Right inside the very core of their being. Knowing their thoughts. Actually being THEM. This takes people watching to the absolute extreme.
The tension was so ratcheted up I felt as if I was going to have a nervous breakdown If I carried on reading it, yet I had to keep reading to find out what happened.
This book could very well turn out to be a crime fiction classic. I really cannot wait to see what this author writes next.
A very powerful debut
Now. I. Need. To. Lie. Quietly. Down. In. A. Dark. Place. To. Recover’
