Have you ever wondered what life would be like in the UK if a disaster such as a virus wiped out half of the population?
Well, wonder no further because author Terry Tyler uses her imagination and considerable writing skills to tell us exactly what might happen in the post apocalyptic Project Renova book series that starts with the book Tipping Point and continues through to book 2 Lindisfarne, book 3 UK2 and now this latest book Legacy.
The world as we know it has come to an end, civilisation has largely broken down and it’s everyone for themselves. Loved ones lost, no internet, modern hospitals, or shops. Survivors have to forage for food and group together with other like minded individuals, good, bad, or something in between. Human nature at its best or worst. Survival of the fittest.
I was completely hooked on the three book series and couldn’t get enough of it. Eagerly awaiting each new book in as it was published. When the author announced that she was writing another book in the series, this time the final one, I couldn’t wait for it to be released.
With Legacy, I was worried at first because the opening chapters were set further into the future than the last books, but very soon became completely enthralled with the story and the characters and literally could not put it down.
Slowly, through various narrators, not all of them reliable, we discover the truth and we find out about our favourite characters of the previous books. Lottie was my favourite and once more features strongly in the story.
You’ll need to read the previous books in the series to understand what has already passed but often the author has them on special offer and Tipping Point available via Amazon for free. I can guarantee that if you read the first book, you will have to carry on right through every book in the series until the end.
Terry Tyler, always describes each of the characters in her books in such a way that leave the reader wanting to know more about their story, eventual fate and how exactly they fit into the whole scheme of things. This book in the series explores the relationship of each character to those in the previous books. Who were their ancestors and what happened to them all. Ties up all the endings and is beautifully written.
The final chapter in an absolutely outstanding series.
Terry Tyler is the author of eighteen books available from Amazon, the latest being ‘Legacy’, the final book in her post apocalyptic series. She is currently at work on a new dystopian series, set the UK, approximately twelve years in the future. She proud to be independently published, is an avid reader and book reviewer, and a member of Rosie Amber’s Book Review Team.
Terry is a Walking Dead addict, and has a great interest in history (particularly 14th-17th century), and sociological/cultural/anthropological stuff, generally. She loves South Park, Netflix, autumn and winter, and going for long walks in quiet places where there are lots of trees. She lives in the north east of England with her husband.
