My Thoughts & Review

This book is going right to the top of my Best Books Of The Year list. I’ve read most of Karin Slaughter’s books but I think this is the best one yet. The writing is superb and it illustrates perfectly why the author is a consistent bestselling writer. It’s AWESOME!

The book isn’t for the faint hearted by any means. The first two chapters are an account of a home invasion that had terrifying consequences for members of the family of controversial lawyer Rusty Quinn.

Rusty is an excellent lawyer who defends the rapists, the murderers and others that the law abiding citizens of the N Georgia small town of Pikeville would rather see locked up for good.

The events of that day haunt the survivors and there is a replaying of the events throughout the book, but are any of the accounts replayed or retold by reliable or unreliable narrators? Read this absolutely gripping book to find out but be prepared for a lot of surprises along the way.
